A look at JPP, HookSwitch, Nerdhook, and Kumo.
JPP testing begins October 15
We began JPP in August 2026. The JLPT practice app now includes N3, N2, and N1 papers, listening and reading practice, weakness tracking, targeted mini tests, and progress history. See the testing announcement β
HookSwitch is on GitHub
Published in February 2026, HookSwitch is a pure PHP tool that converts XLSX files to CSV and CSV files to XLSX. It streams rows to keep memory use low when handling large files. Explore HookSwitch β
Nerdhook architecture maintenance
We are maintaining Nerdhook's architecture while preparing the service for broader use. JPP and Nerdhook are planned to be available in January 2027.
Kumo remains in planning
Planning for Kumo began in July 2026. The planned CDM service aims to improve website speed, reduce server costs, and offer an AI help center. A full prototype is planned for July 2027.
